E-Assist

The goal of this project is to use IoT technology to explore new possibilities for products and services that can help first responders in emergency situations. An app that launches when a caller dials 9-1-1, E-Assist gives callers the confidence to provide life-saving bystander first-aid.

The Problem

How might we improve the communication between the dispatcher and 9-1-1 caller in an emergency situation?
How might we communicate with 9-1-1 callers and ease their anxiety and give them the confidence to help the patient?
How might we educate bystanders to deliver fast and effective first-aid in emergency medical situations?

Design Criteria

Intuitive - aligns with existing mental maps, minimal clutter.
Accessible - automatic launch, universal compatibility, reliable.
Builds the confidence and reduces stress.
